We are a large, long established allotment site with over 240 plots maintained by a culturally diverse community growing a wide variety of flowers, fruit, and vegetables.​​​​​​​​
In the Beginning: August Bank Holiday Weekend
Thoroughly wet and quite windy. Nevertheless, an insanely optimistic performance from our stalwart volunteers
One Week Later: SHOW DAY, and the summer returns just in time
The tents begin to fill
More wonderful volunteers on the Produce Stall, Tombola, the Allotment Calendar Stall, the Plant Stall, the Show Entries office, the Raffle ...
Jams, Chutneys, Marmalade, Plants, and Produce - all donated to help with fund raising
And then there was the Allotment Cafe, abundantly supplied with donations of home - made savouries, desserts, cakes and biscuits...and an amazing team of volunteers who kept it going all afternoon
There were also guided tours of the site...
Visitors from all across London, relaxing, chatting, enjoying an afternoon tea...
The Tombola is always popular
...including some of the GCAA's good friends of many years' standing
TROPHIES & AWARDS: the climax of the Show - and recognition of a year of hard work, skill, dedication and support
And so it ends for another year
